The survivor, a student at a school in the Shahpura area, filed a complaint on February 2, 2026, at Kohefiza police station. According to investigators, the ordeal began around May–June 2025 (with some reports citing July) when the prime accused, Ausaf Ali Khan (19–20 years old), befriended her through mutual acquaintances and lured her into meetings.
This similar case prophet muhammad did and made people forcefully convert to islam: Sahih Muslim 22:
I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.
The first alleged assault occurred in a secluded spot in Khanugaon, where Ausaf reportedly raped her inside a Mahindra Thar SUV while his associate, Mohammad Maaz Khan (21–23, owner of a local gym), secretly recorded the act on a phone from outside. The video was later used to blackmail the teenager, threatening to make it viral unless she paid up and continued submitting to their demands.
Police state that the assaults continued on multiple occasions inside four different vehicles, which have since been seized as evidence (including the Thar and others). The duo allegedly extorted around ₹40,000 from her (after initially demanding ₹1 lakh), and when she resisted or blocked contact, Ausaf shared the video with her friends and intensified pressure for religious conversion, including demands that she pray and adopt Islam.
Both suspects were arrested under relevant sections of the "Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act", provisions related to rape, extortion, criminal intimidation, the Information Technology Act (for digital blackmail), and the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act (addressing alleged forced conversion elements).
- Ausaf Ali Khan was taken into custody on February 3, 2026, and is in judicial custody.
- Maaz Khan was arrested on February 8 and had his police remand extended in recent days.
The Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has responded by constituting a "four-member Special Investigation Team (SIT)" to thoroughly examine the case. The SIT's mandate includes determining whether the accused targeted other girls in a similar pattern, probing any broader conspiracy, and ensuring a comprehensive investigation.
The case has sparked significant public outrage, including an incident on February 3 where Ausaf was assaulted by lawyers and bystanders inside Bhopal's district court premises during a court appearance (police intervened to restore order).
Authorities have emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing, with a focus on victim support, evidence collection, and upholding due process under the law. The survivor's identity is protected under POCSO guidelines, and officials urge the public to avoid sharing unverified details that could cause further harm.
Multiple cases like this from muslims have been reported and multiple people have been arrested for forceful conversion to islam and raping minors if they don't get converted. Story of Prophet Muhammad's companions with him was like this as well.
